Pauline johnson was a poet,writer,and an entertainer she was born on March 10 1861. Pauline johnson took her grandfather's Aboriginal name
called Tekahionwake. Pauline was a very good poet,writer and entertainer she was very well respected in Canada and will be remembered.

Childhood


When pauline was young she used to go to her grandfather who used to tell her stories which pauline enjoyed.
Pauline grew up in a mansion called cheifswood.
Pauline's dad 's name was George Johnson a mohawk cheif, and Emily Susanna Howals as her Mom She was American but she is originally from england.
Pauline was the youngest of four children in her family.
George johnson spoke English, French, and German.
Pauline was tutored at home, she did that for a while and then went to a school named Brantford Collegiate Institute from the age 14 to16.

Later Life


Pauline began to make poems in 1884.
Pauline's father died in 1884 causing them unable to afford cheifswood
At the age of 23 she sucsess fully wrote 3 poems and had them published

Career


Beetween 1892 and 1910 pauline did a lot of speaking tours in Canada and some in united states.
In 1894 pauline vists England for the first time and her first book the white wampun is published.
On 1897 she appears on stage with walter mcraye who later on becomes pauline's stage partner she also meets banker Charles Drayton in Winnipeg.
In 1998 becomes engaged to Charles Drayton and pauline's mom dies and engagment with Charles Drayton is off
In 1907 pauline travals to britian for the last time
In 1908 pauline settles in vancouver after final road tour with Walter Mcraye.

Conclusion,Death


March 7 1913 pauline dies of Cancer that had been diagnosed in 1909 and has her ashes spread in vancouvers stanley park on the following Sunday.
